Sona Handwoven Sujani Throw

$490
Description

Handwoven in 100% cotton using the traditional Sujani weaving technique, our Sona throw is a rare expression of a diminishing craft

The throw ages with grace over time, becoming softer with every use, as all heirlooms should. Designed to coordinate with our Ranisa pillows, it pairs effortlessly across the entire collection for custom layering and styling options.

Each piece is finished with neat edging on all sides and adorned with four large handmade tassels at each corner, signatures of our Mosaic collection. Generously sized to serve as a single coverlet, it adds warmth, comfort and artistry to any space.

Please expect minor imperfections in our products. They are not flaws. They are emblems of our hand crafted process. A testament that every piece was made by an artisan's hand.

Craft

The art of Sujani weaving is a traditional craft from the western region of India that is currently practiced by only a handful of artisans in the whole world and is at a high risk of fading away.

The Sujani weave is an intricate process where artisans fill soft cotton into the fabric as they weave, creating a naturally quilted, cushioned texture without the use of stitching. This technique gives the throw its beautiful weight and drape, offering the soothing comfort of a weighted blanket while remaining breathable and soft to the touch.
